2、 2024.The five biggest spenders in 2024 were the United States,China,Russia,Germany and India,which together accounted for 60 per cent of world military spending.The USAs military spending was$997 billion in 2024,while Chinas was an estimated$314billion.Russias military spending grew by 38 per cent
3、in 2024 to an estimated$149 billion,equivalent to 7.1 per cent of Russias GDP.Ukraine was the eighth largest military spender in 2024,with spending increasing by 2.9 per cent to$64.7 billion,representing 34 per cent of its GDP.Total military spending in Europe rose by 17 per cent to$693 billion in 2
