Assistance andfunding emanate primarily from federal aid and the Governors Emergency Cash Fund.State and political subdivisions may enter into mutual aid agreements. The statuteprovides for participation in the Interstate Civil Defense and Disaster Compact.Constitutional authority gives the legislature power to provide for succession to publicoffices and to convene with or without a call by the governor.
