Generally, a filing under Chapter 11 of the BankruptcyCode allows a company to continue operating while providing the company with anopportunity to reorganize its finances. Considering that much of the property utilized byan airline in its daily operations is leased, leases of real property - terminals and gates -and leases of aircraft equipment can weigh heavily in the reorganization.
