Since 1997, the agencies have worked together asthe Joint Task Force on Memorials. In their initial report, the Joint Task Force recommended toCongress that the Commemorative Works Act be amended to change the name of the NationalCapital Memorial Commission to the National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission.
